From London to the Maldives to Seychelles & all over Australia Küche Inspirational Food would like to introduce to you the new Chef & owner, David Whitfield! From cooking in his uncle’s kitchen to a flourishing Chef’s career, David Whitfield has been doing this his whole life. His rich experience shows through beautiful, flavourful and unpretentious food with a focus on local ingredients.
Chef Whitfield has had an interest in food since he was a young boy, but his culinary career didn’t begin until after completing a Diploma in Commercial Cookery at the Institute of Hotel Management, NSW while working as an Apprentice Chef at the French-inspired Peppercorn Restaurant, Sydney.
Whitfield seized the opportunity to then work for the 5 stars Regent Hotel as the Demi Chef de Partie. This position eventually led him to The Claridges Hotel, London as Senior Chef de Partie, where Whitfield travelled the globe working his way to the top holding positions as Chef de Cusine and Executive Sous Chef for some of the world’s most renowned Hotels and Resorts.
Whitfield has been awarded Gold Medal for ‘The Restaurants of Champions’ Find Food & Hotel Australia & NSW Mid North Coast Chef of the Year to boost a few. Anyone who knows Whitfield will tell you he’s known for his flair for elegant presentation and sophisticated recipes.
David’s goal is to provide the good folk of Beaumaris & Brighton with simple honest food that rates extraordinarily!
